In a few short weeks, when you publish a new site with our free subdomain option, your web address will contain yolasite.com instead of synthasite.com.
Sometimes change is good
Yolasite is a bit shorter and easier to spell than our former name. By changing from a SynthaSite subdomain to a yolasite subdomain, you might even make it easier for visitors to find your site. We’ll have all the details on how you can make this change around launch time.
There are a couple of things to know about the change:
- We’ll redirect traffic coming from your old web address with synthasite.com to your new web address with yolasite.com. Your visitors will see yolasite.com in their address bar when they land on your site.
- If you are using any domain-specific tools, like Google Webmaster Tools or Google Analytics, you will need to update your settings with your new web address.
Go ahead, keep .synthasite.com
If you have an existing SynthaSite subdomain you don’t need to change to yolasite.com. There are plenty of reasons to keep your subdomain just the way it is, and you can keep your site there as long as you want.

This is nice, but I think I’ll be keeping my .synthasite.com sub-domain, because I use Google Webmaster and changing the URL will mess it up.
Um…..why would you add even more letters to the domain? Now the new domains aren’t much shorter than the old domains. And you still get a funky confusing name.
Er….isn’t that just the same as synthasite,yolasite, they don’t seem very different to me!
I think the the subdomain .synthasite sounds much better than yolasite and there is hardly any difference in the url length. I would have appreciated a subdomain .yola instead of yolasite.
