Site owner Olga V. Perfilieva was booked at a craft show and realized that she needed a web presence to drive all of the new leads her booth would generate for her design business, Uki Studio. While speed was of the essence, displaying her design aesthetic was her top priority in order to make a good impression on potential clients. Her display at the craft show would be her first impression which made maintaining a strong second impression via her website even more crucial. Because the traffic coming her way from the craft show would be extremely qualified, she needed to ensure her website stood out and represented her as an artist. Her goal was to make a user-friendly, clean-cut, simple and elegant website which she executed beautifully using our Clean Slate style. In her case it served as a blank canvas and allowed her design aesthetic to shine through.
Her biggest challenge was integrating custom code for a slideshow to display her portfolio within her website seamlessly. Once she found the code and adjusted it to her needs, she was able to add it to her website using the HTML editor.
Using Yola was a good decision on my part. It was simple enough to build a site within hours, especially for someone who has never done this before.—Olga V. Perfilieva
