Yola is a wonderful tool for non-profit organizations who need a strong web presence for little to no money. It is a crucial component for communicating the purpose of an organization and can be critical to facilitating fund raising.
I was particularly moved by The Meah Foundation. Their founder, Tina Klonaris Robinson, suffered great personal tragedy and found healing in the telling of her story and in listening to the stories of others. Her message, “Helping One, Helping All” is one that we can all relate to. Visitors to the site can read all about the journey that led Tina to start The Meah Foundation as well as what they have accomplished thus far.
Leila Summers created the site for Tina because she was inspired by her and wanted to help her get her story out there. The custom banner she designed under Tina’s direction really makes this site stand out and it is a feature that can easily be achieved by following these instructions.
According to Leila she liked that she was able to design the site and then turn it over to Tina to maintain without her needing to know a thing about web design.
This is the first time I used Yola and I was very impressed with the effortless, user-friendly layout and the support offered by Yola. Choosing a free template that offered a customized header and background color, meant that I could easily make the site look unique and fresh.
