It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a Horizontal Line widget!
You may have noticed a new widget that’s popped up in your Sitebuilder in the “Basic” category. We created this nifty widget so that you can more easily break up and organize your website content. Until now, a horizontal line required custom HTML code and a lot of adjustments to get just the look you were after. Now you can easily choose between 3 different line styles, adjust the thickness of your line, and even select the color so it blends perfectly with your website style.
To add the Horizontal Line widget:
- Drag and drop the Horizontal Line Widget onto your site.
- Select the line thickness, margin and color.
- Your design will display in the “Preview” window.
- If you’re happy with your line, click “Save”.
Some of you are already making excellent use of this widget. We’d love to see what you create, so if you update your website with some horizontal lines, post your web address in the comments below or to the forum thread linked above and we’ll check it out!
Yola just keeps getting better and better! I really like the new site editor features. I would like to see the “Complete Site Download” feature — free of charge — brought back to the “Site Manager” tab 🙂
1. Selecting the thickness, picking the style, setting the margins, and choosing the color of the horizontal line were fun the first or second time I did them. Once I chose my signature divider, however, going thru all those motions was no longer fun. I would like to be able to save the setting for my signature divider for reuse. Could you add 2 buttons under all the colors, one to say “save line” and the other to say “insert saved line” ?? That would save a lot of clicks.
2. Is there some special reason why the round dotted line looks like a square dotted line on my MacBook? The dots look round on my PC. Anything else I need to look out for for Macs? Some of the people that need to look at my yolasite are Mac-only people.
Thank you
I’ve needed this for a while. Thanks. It makes things much easier to read. Here’s my website – http://jtylersarticles.org
